Y cerddor

A monthly Welsh-language music periodical that was intended to promote Welsh music. The periodical's main contents were articles on music and musicians while compositions were published as supplements to the periodical. The periodical was jointly edited by the musicians, David Jenkins (1848-1915) and David Emlyn Evans (1843-1913) until 1912, by David Jenkins between 1912 and 1915, by the musicians David Evans (1874-1948) and William Morgan Roberts (1853-1923) until 1918, and subsequently by David Evans. Variant titles: Y Cerddor Newydd (1922).
