GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING. AT a Meeting of the General Committee held at the Reference Library, Shrewsbury, on Friday, October 24th, 1924. at 2.30 p.m. Present. — Major C. E. Breese (in the Chair). Lovegrove, J. B. Willans, with Canon C. F. Roberts and Mr. Percy J. Williams. General Sec- retaries. Minutes.—The Minutes of the Meeting held on May 5th were taken as read, having been previously printed in the Journal. The Minutes of Meetings held on August 20th and 27th, were read, and all were confirmed and signed. Apologies for absence were received from Sir Vincent Evans, Miss Evelyn Lewes, Major General Sandbach, Mr. Lleufer Thomas, Dr. Mortimer Wheeler. Mr. Willoughby Gardner. Rev. W. Morgan-Jones, Messrs. G. Eyre Evans. H. LI. Howell. R. Jones Morris, Lemuel Jones, L. J. Roberts and Evan Morgan. Kenfig.—A letter was read from Mr. Lemuel Jones stating that the local Association proposed undertaking excavations at Kenfig. Resolved that the matter be referred to the Excavations Committee. Gaer (Brecon). — A Report on the recent excavations at the Gaer by Dr. Mortimer Wheeler was submitted. Dr. Cyril Fox. — The appointment of Dr. Cyril Fred. Fox, Ph.D., F.S.A., as Keeper of the Department of Archaeology at the National Museum of Wales was reported, and the Senior General Secretary was directed to convey to him the congratulations and good wishes of the Association. Llandilo Meeting. — A letter was read from Mr. Eyre Evans with reference to the arrangements for the Llandilo Meeting, to which a reply had been forwarded by the Senior General Secretary. Mr. Lovegrove proposed, Canon Singers-Davies seconded, and it was agreed, that the Meeting be held on August 10th to 15th. The South Wales General Secretary submitted suggestions for the Itinerary, which were discussed at length, and referred to the Local Committee, the full Programme to be submitted to the May Meeting of the General Committee for consideration.
