GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING. There was a Meeting of the General Committee held at the Hotel Pavillon in the evening. Present — Major C. E. Breese, in the chair, Mr. T. E. Morris (Treasurer), Canon Fisher (Editor), Prof. J. E. Lloyd (President), Prof. H. J. Fleure (President-Elect), Rev. Canon Singers-Davies, Mrs. Henry Lewis, Miss Evelyn Lewes, Major-General Sandbach, Revs. Thos. Roberts and Ellis Davies, Mr. E. W. Lovegrove, with Canon C. F. Roberts (General Secretary). Reports.-The Report of the General Committee was submitted and agreed to. The Treasurer submitted his Report, which was agreed to. The Senior General Secretary submitted the Report of the Excavations Committee, which was accepted. Congress of Archaeological Societies.-The Chairman and the Treasurer were appointed to represent the Association at the Congress of Archaeological Societies. Six-inch Ordnance Map.-A letter was read from the Geological Society of London with reference to the withdrawal of the 6-in. Ordnance map in quarter sheets. It was resolved that the Associa- tion join in a protest against the proposal, and that Prof. Fleure be appointed to represent the Association on any deputation which may wait upon the authorities concerned. Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies.-A letter was read from the Secretary of the Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies suggesting an exchange of publications. Resolved, that an exchange be agreed to on a volume for volume basis. List of Members.-Miss Evelyn Lewes suggested that copies of the List of Members be supplied to Local Secretaries. The Senior General Secretary promised to attend to the matter. EXCURSION III.-THURSDAY, AUGUST 21. The party motored to-day to Vannes, which in 1889 was chosen as the Association's headquarters. The members were welcomed on this occasion at the Museum of the Societe Polymathique du Morbihan, which is housed in Chateau Gaillard. The welcome was given by M. Roger Grand, Professor at L'Ecole des Chartes, Paris, President of the Society for 1924. With him were Col. Fonssagrives, Vice-President, and M. Marsille, ex-President. The welcome was acknowledged on behalf of the Association, and the party divided into sections, visiting alternately the Cathedral and the Museum.
