progress has been made during the winter, 1922-23, with the survey. The Report is nearly ready for publication. The adoption of the Report was moved by Mr. Gardner, and agreed to. The Officers of the Association were re-elected, viz., Major C. E. Breese, Chairman Mr. T. E. Morris, Treasurer; Canon Fisher, Editor Mr. J. E. Pughe-Jones, Auditor; and the following members of the Committee, Principal J. H. Davies, Mr. C. H. Glascodine, Dr. Evans Hoyle, and the General Secretaries, Canon C. F. Roberts and Mr. Percy J. Williams. The Senior Auditor, Mr. A. Foulkes-Roberts, having expressed a desire not to be re-elected, Mr. A. Ivor Pryce was appointed to fill the vacancy. On the motion of the President, Mr. Foulkes-Roberts was warmly thanked for his long services. The Local Secretaries recommended by the General Committee were appointed and the sixty-three candidates for admission to membership, whose names had been submitted, were all duly elected. The General Secretary announced that Sir Thomas Mansel Franklen's term of office as representative of the Association on the Court of Governors of the National Museum had expired, and it was resolved that he be re-appointed. Sir Vincent Evans and Mr. T. E. Morris were appointed to represent the Association at the Congress of Archaeological Societies to be held in London in November. There was a lively discussion as to the place of next year's meeting, Mr. T. E. Morris moved that it be held at Llandeilo Fawr, with a supplementary meeting, if it could be arranged, in Brittany. Llandeilo, he said, had not been visited by the Association for thirty-one years and the latter part of his motion was a concession to those members who, for years, had desired to meet in Brittany. Mrs. Henry Lewis moved an amendment that the venue be in Brittany. Both motions were seconded, and on a vote being taken, the President announced the result as follows — For Brittany, 34 votes; for Llandeilo, 17. Next year's Annual Meeting will therefore be held in Brittany. The last business of the meeting was a vote of thanks, moved by the President, to all in Oswestry who had contributed to the success of the meeting. He mentioned particularly the Mayor of Oswestry, Lord Harlech, General Montgomery, Mr. J. H. Profit, Mr. C. E. Holland, Mr. Inigo Davies, and other members of the Local Com- mittee, and the Governors of the Girls' High School. Canon Roberts, seconding, included also General Sandbach, who was Local Secretary for a time. The comprehensive vote of thanks was carried with loud applause, and the Mayor, Lord Harlech and General Montgomery replied.
