ORGAN RECITAL. An Organ Recital will be given by Mr. Bennett Jones on Sunday, December 15th, at 8 p.m., in St. Mary's Church. Selections of music will be rendered in the course of the Recital by members of St. Mary's Choir. At St. Mary's Church on Sunday evening, November 17th, Mr. W. Bennett Jones gave the first of a series of organ recitals which will be given during the winter months. There was a fairly good attendance considering the inclemency of the weather. The programme included " Fanfare Militaire'' (Ascher), "Cloches Du Soir" (Chauvet), " Cappriccio-Lebaigre " (Guilman)," The Storm " (Lemmens), "Triumphal March" (Dudley Buck). Mr. R. H. Morgan sang a sacred song entitled " Flee as a bird to the mountain," and Mr. J. W. Cooke gave a solo from the " Elijah." The collec¬ tion was given to the fund which has been started for the purpose of fitting a new Vox Humana stop to the organ, and the collections at future organ recitals will be devoted to the same purpose. CHRISTMAS DAY AND FOLLOWING SUNDAY. The following selections of music will be rendered by St. Mary's Welsh Choir on Christmas and the following Sunday evening (December 29th):—" Comfort Ye," &c, "And the Glory," " Thus saith the Lord," "And He shall purify," " Behold a Virgin " and " O, Thou that tellest," " For behold darkness" and "The people that walked in darkness," "For unto us," and the sacred song "Nazareth" (Gounod). A selection of suitable Carols will also be sung by the choir. Collections will be made at all the services in aid of the Curate's Fund. It is to be hoped that members of the congregation will send contributions of flowers, evergreens and ivy for the Christmas decorations to St. Mary's restry by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 24th.
