On Sunday, May 19th, Mr. Richard Chambers, Superintendent of St. Mary's Welsh Sunday School, and Mr. J. Lloyd Hughes, Secretary, were presented with beautiful oak writing desks. The Rev. T. Edwin Jones, Vicar, in making the presentation on behalf of the scholars and teachers of the School who had so generously contributed towards the fund, remarked that it was a source of great pleasure to him to be present on the occasion, and to have this opportunity of expressing both on his own behalf as well as on behalf of the Sunday School, his appreciation of the zeal, energy and ability which Mr. Chambers and Mr. Hughes had thrown into Sunday School work. They had had many willing and successful workers in connection with the Sunday School, but none had laboured more energetically a«d certainly none more successfully than the present superintendent and secretary.
