As our readers are probably aware, this number of the Magazine is the first of the new series. The year in this respect runs from August to the July of the following year. We would remind them respectfully that if, owing to some unavoidable cause, any have omitted to pay the district distributor for some of the last numbers, it would be a great convenience to us if they will kindly settle up their account as early as possible. And if they consider the Magazine interesting, as it is to most of those who take it in monthly, we shall be very glad if they will assist us in increasing the circulation, by recommending and showing it to their neighbours. We think that no family which is in any way connected with St. Mary's ought to be without it. The expense is not great and most of the articles contained in the latter part, not to speak of matters of local interest which are referred to in these first pages, are worthy of perusal, for they contain instruction for all. The fact that the serial is written by such a distinguished novelist as Mr. H. Rider Haggard is in itself a sufficient proof of the quality of the ' Dawn of Day? The series of articles on ' A visit to China' ought to be interesting at the present time and will assist us to understand the character and habit of the people whom we have to deal with during this crisis. We feel certain that, if our readers would only pass it round for inspection after digesting its contents themselves, the number of subscribers to it would be increased. ------------- WELSH SUNDAY SCHOOL TREAT. The Infants' department of this School, accompanied by some members of the Adult classes, had their annual outing on Wednesday, July nth. They were conveyed in brakes as far as Penmon
