This took place at the Penrhyn Hall, on Thursday and Friday, January 26th and 27th, and it is acknowledged by all who had the privilege of being present to have been one of the most successful ever given at the Hall. As the proceeds were in aid of our Schools, it is but right to refer to it in the pages of the Magazine. The following was the Programme :—Part I. Opening Chorus, "The Fairy Queen"; Dance, "The Keel Row," Juniors; Chorus and Dance, " Pinafore Song," 12 Seniors; Drill, " Fan Drill," 24 Girls; Character Song, "Little Mothers," 12 Juniors; Drill, " Wreath Drill," 24 Seniors. Part II. consisted of the Operetta " Cinderella," in five scenes, 1. A Market Place, Song " Buy a Broom," by Bessie Thomas, and Choruses by Gipsies and Citizens; 2. The Kitchen, Songs by Cinderella, the Baron and Cinderella's Sisters, and Choruses of Fairies; 3- A Dance at the Ball; 4. The Baron's Drawing-Room, Song by the Prince; 5. Finale. The chief characters were represented by the following scholars :—Cinderella, Bessie Williams, The Prince, Rhoda Jones ; The Baron, Mary Pritchard ; Baroness, Miss Mamie Jones ; Cinderella's Sisters, Alice Williams and Ellen Owen ; Page, Beatrice Davies, Herald, Ida Alice Williams ; Trumpeter, Jane E. Williams ; Fairy, Anwes Jones. Mr. Harding acted as Stage-Manager.
