flrwpstli Deanerp magazine. Vol. VI. (New Series). OCTOBER, 1910. No. 214. LLANIDLOES. The posters have already announced the date of our Harvest Festival which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 11th and 12th instant, the Welsh service being as usual on Tuesday evening at 7, and the English services being : Celebrations at 8 and 9-30, and Morning Service and Sermon at 11, and Evensong and Sermon at 7. It will be seen that there is this year an additional Celebration as we have been told that there are many who cannot come at 8. We need hardly say that the Holy Com¬ munion is the great Christian Thanksgiving Service and we hope many will avail them¬ selves of the extra opportunity to attend. The early frost has played such havoc with the flowers that we shall be more than usually grateful to any readers who can send contributions for decoration purposes (however small they may be) of flowers, bracken, corn, ivy, etc. C. E. T. S. members will kindly note that the weekly meetings have commenced and that the next meeting will take place on Monday the 10th at 8 p.m. We offer our sympathy to Mrs. Edwin Jones and family on the death of her father (Mr. John Jerman), and to the relatives of Mrs. Ann Morgan, Church Lane. The Band of Hope will, we hope, re-open at the end of this month. It will be con¬ fined this year to members of our own Sunday School. The Vicar was away on September 25th, preaching at Holy Trinity, Oswestry, and his place was taken by the Rev. T. A. W. Rees, Senior Curate of the above Church, who won golden opinions here, especially by his morning sermon, which seems to have been an unusually able one from all accounts. There will be a Meeting or Service for the members of the Mothers' Union in the course of next month : the exact date with the speaker will be announced next issue. SUNDAY & DAY SCHOOLS' TRIP, 1910. We append Balance Sheet and List of Subscribers to the Schools' Trip which how¬ ever does not include the sum due from the managers of the Day Schools. We thank Miss Parker for her energy in collecting and Messrs. Chas. Owen and John Davies who, as usual, were up and about selling tickets in the small hours of the morning. BALANCE SHEET. receipts.
