flrwpstli Deanerp magazine. Vol. VI. (New Series). SEPTEMBER, 1910. No. 213. LLANIDLOES. All through August we have been hoping for one fine week in which we might have a Garden Party at Maenol. The Sale we had in July and made some money but the pleasure and the delights of green lawns and shady trees were denied us ; and now we fear it is too late and there is nothing to do but wait for a summer which shall be a summer in something more than name. So far as plans can be made under these uncertain conditions we contemplate having our Harvest Festival on October 11th and 12th, and given a fine September which really as we write seems a possibility the harvest may be in by then. The Church Schools' Trip took place on Monday, August 22nd, on what in this dis¬ astrous month may be called a miraculously fine day, coming as it did between days of continuous downpour. The large majority as usual went to Aberystwyth, but the present writer and a few others went to Barmouth. The Diocesan Conference is fixed this year for October 6th and takes place at Barmouth, a place accessible even to Llanidloes Church- people. Members of the Choir have been gradually coming back from their holidays the last week or two. The ladies especially had been reduced to a very small band, and but for the faithfulness of two or three we should have fared badly. We append the LIST OF SUBSCRIBERS TO CHOIR TRIP. £ s d J. R.
