In Holy Week there will be short ad¬ dresses each night (except Saturday) at Evensong with the Story of the Cross or a Litany of Penitence. On Good Friday there will he Matins and Sermon at 10.30. the Three Hours' Service, conducted by the Vicar of Bryn- coedifor, from 12 to 3, and livening Service at 7.30. On Easter Day there will be, as usual, four celebrations of the Holy Communion at 8, 9, 10 (Welsh) and 12, and we trust that all communicants will make an effort to be present at one or other of these services according to the express rule of the Church. The Annual Easter Vkstry will be held on the Thursday in Easter Week at 8 p.m. precisely. The hour has been changed this year in deference to a request from many churchmen who are unable to attend in the morning. Please Note that the Kinderspiel, "The Gipsies," will be performed on Wednesday, April 14 (not the 15th as erroneously stated in our last). Owing to the overcrowding last year, and for the convenience of the per¬ formance will be given in Bethel Hall. Book soon and come early. The Confirmation Service on Sunday, March 21, struck us as being more than usually impressive, and the congregation, which was a very large one, seemed reverent and attentive. The Bells -the refitting of which had just been completed—were rung that after¬ noon for the first time since the Restoration of the Church in 1882. Mr. Gibbon, who was in charge of the work, was naturally anxious to hear them tested before he left, and he was fortunate in securing the services of five ringers from Llandinam: xMessrs. Jonathan Griffiths, Hamer (Llandinam Hall), Savage (Glanfeinion), Wilding and Francis, who with Mr. Nuttall gave us quite a treat. We are extremely grateful to the above, who added to their kindness by staying and ringing for the evening service. As some are asking what all the money has gone for, it may be as well to let our readers have the specifications of the work from which it will appear that what is seen only cost £5, the the bulk of the cost being for the unseen fittings overhead, which have rot been touched since 1824. Messrs. John Davies and Chas. Brown, E. Nuttall and J. Watkins, have been out collecting, but we have not yet received their report.
