The Xmas Da)Y weather proved much better than was anticipated there being just a touch of frost, and the services were on the whole well attended : the communicants were one short of last year's number and quite up to the general average The anthems in the morning (Stainer's "Arise, shine for thy light is come "), and evening (Maunder's " Behold I bring you good tidings "), were well sung, though the latter went with more of the necessary swing, and Mr. T. Phillips, who took the solo, was in better voice on the Sunday evening following. Three carols were sung, one for Xmas and one for St. Stephens' eve, and on Sunday evening we had one for Holy Innocents. In " Good King Wenceslas" Air. Phillips took the King's, and Miss Lily Roberts, our latest recruit took the page's solo. Our decorators had done their work well— Font, Mrs. Vaughan Owen ; North Window, Miss Phil¬ lips, Miss A. Davies and Mrs. H. Roberts : South Window, Miss Parker; Lectern, Miss Davies, Llwyn ; Pulpit, Miss Webb ; Stalls, Misses Griffiths ; and East End, Mrs. Jones, Miss Walker, Miss Doris Holmes, and Miss Daisy Rees. The collections were good. The Wedding on Monday the 28th, chronicled below was a very pretty one, and the bride having bet n for man)- years a member of the choir, it was a fully choral one. At the wedding breakfast the Vicar on behalf of the choir, presented Mrs. Bcwgen with a cheque wherewith to buy seme memento lor herself and wished Mr. and Mrs. Bow gen all possible happiness in their married life. And so say all of us. The Rummage Sale on December 21st, brought in a little over £10—quite as much as can be expected, as the Nurse's Committee held one at so short an interval before. We desire to thank all those who helped and contributed. Space forbids the attempt to enumerate names. The Bishop has announced his in¬ tention of holding a confirmation in the Parish Church on Sunday, March 21st, and we hope to commence classes before the end of January, and shall be glad if those who are not confirmed will think this matter over carefully and decide to come forward. There will probably be a Church Social on January 27th or 29th. Much matter is unavoidably held over. BAPTISMS. Nov. 19.—Phyllis Guinevere Davies. ,, 22.—David Charles I for Humphreys. Dec 24.—Sarah Elizabeth Annie Richards. MARRIAGE. Dec 28th.—Frederick' John Bow«en and Sarah Jane Jones. LLANDINAM. Advent Services:—During Advent services were held at S, Llonio's, Banhadlog, and Tylwch—the special preachers being Revs. T. Penrhys Rees, the Rural Dean, and Mr. Wiiliam Scudamore, St. David's College, Lampeter. The services were fairly well attended. Ox the 11th the Annual Christmas Supper for the choir and bell-ringers was held at the Vicarage by invitation of the Vicar and Mrs. James Jones. All were present with the exception of two who were away from home. A very pleasant evening was spent with games, ping-pong, and other amusements. Mr. Hamer proposed a vote of thanks, which was seconded by Mr. W. Savage, after which the National Anthem was sung and the party broke up. The Parish Church was beautifully decora¬ ted for Christmas with holly, evergreens, flowers, &c, sent from the following places : Berthddu, Glanfeinion, Llwynderw, Broneir- ion, Drain Tewon, and Maesmawr. Owing to much sickness not many were able to help this year. The Altar vases were done by Mrs. Morgan and Miss Lloyd, also the west windows ; the other windows by Miss Savage and Miss Ireland ; the Font and pillars by Mrs. James Jones, Mrs. Price, Miss Church, and Master W'illiam Church ; the pulpit, reading desk and lectern by Miss Evans, Miss Courtenay and Miss Francis ; the choir stalls by Mrs. Scudamore, and the Altar rails by
