He was at his very best at the C.E.T.S. on Monday, February 10th, and roused his audience to a high pitch of enthusiasm. On Tuesday evening he conducted a Mission service, when a very respectable congrega¬ tion gathered together to hear him, and it need scarcely be added they were not dis¬ appointed, but found him as earnest, devotional and instructive as of old. We were sorry to hear he has not been at all well since his return home. We very much regret to record the death of Mrs. Griffiths, Commerce House, who passed away, after a very short illness, on Friday, February 13th, and was laid to rest in Trefeglwys Churchyard the Tuesday following. Our heartiest sympathy goes out to her family, who have lost the best of mothers, while Llanidloes Church is deprived of one of its truest and least ostentatious members. On Monday, February 17th, Mr. G. Williams, of Harlech, gave an interesting address on Church History, illustrated by a series of excellent slides. We tender our sincerest congratulations to Mr. Owen Owen on his promotion to the Post Office of Abergele, but he will forgive us if we say we cannot rejoice at it—for selfish reasons. He has been consistently and increas¬ ingly useful in church work, and our loss is a severe one. We wish him every success, and if business ability and uniform courtesy and good nature can win it, he is already assured of it. Look out for " Dan the Newsboy," and the " Enchanted Glen," in the National Schools, on April 22nd and 23rd. Mothers' Union Anniversary. — On March 25th there will be a celebration of Holy Communion at 8 a.m. and special service and sermon at 7-30 p.m. Jan. Feb. LLANGURIG. The illustrated Church History lecture by Mr. Williams, of Harlech, on Wednesday evening, February 19th, proved a great attraction and success. The Church House was almost uncomfortably full, and all were loud in their praise of both lecture and slides. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the lecturer on the proposition of Mr. Pryse, seconded by Mr. Lovell. On Wednesday, February 26th, a very en¬ joyable social evening was held, the proceeds of which went towards paying for the Tea Service purchased for the Church House. The new service was in requisition for the first time and was much admired, having been specially made, with " Llan Gurig Sant" inscribed on each piece. Billiards, draughts, ping pong, and all sorts of games were played ; songs
