"November 2nd, to make arrangements for next year's Choral Festival. The following: resolutions were pro¬ posed, seconded, and unanimously carried:— 1.—That the Festival be held at Llandinam Parish Church. 2 —That the date be the first Wednesday in July. 3.—That the services consist of short Evensong and Litany at 2 p m., and full Evensong; at 6 p.?n. 4 —That the selections for the Afternoon service be of a simple nature with the Qanticles arranged to Chants : the Anthem to be selected from those of previous years, «nd the Hymns to well-known and popular Tunes. 5.—That the Canticles at the Evening Service be to a special arrangement, with a Neiv Anthem. 6.- 7.- 8.- -In order to lessen expenses it was thought that the Service Book now being arranged for the Bangor Archidiaconal TJnnn, details of which were submitted by the Secretary, would be suitable for the Evening Service. -That the Rev- W. L. Richards be appointed Choir Director. -That the full Committee meet again at Llanid¬ loes on Thursday, November 17th, at 2-30, to make final rejections for the Afternoon Service, and to choose an arrangement for the Magnificat Nunc Dimittis and Anthem for the Evensong Service. Although a small change is made weekly, the attendance is excellent and gives every promise of beating the record. An earnest attempt is being made to make it something more than a mere meeting every week for purposes of enjoyment, and to render it a really working branch of the C. E. T. S. Circu¬ lars have been sent out to the parents asking them to allow their children to sign the necessary declarations. We understand that the managers of the Band of Hope contemplate a performance of a Cantata or Musical play at the end of the Session,'for which purpose a 2nd meeting will be nee each wreek. lecessary In this connection we must record with much regret the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Swinburne, The Gas House. Mr. Swinburne has been appointed Manager of the Gas Works at Rounds, Northants. Our readers will join with us in wishing him and his wife all possible happiness and success in their new home. He, was always a tower of strength to the Band of Hope, and made himself useful in many other ways, and always in the quietest and rnost unaffected manner.
