The Choir Director hopes to pay a visit to the several Choirs during March, and ho would be glad if they will have the whole of the morning service prepared. GENERAL. The following brief summary of a full report is the *' North Wales Chronicle " will be, I think, of interest to the Church folk of this Deanery in general and to the parishioners of Llaudinam in particular. Gen. Sec: PRESENTATION TO THE REV JAMES JONES. At a crowded meeting at the National Schools,Holy¬ head on Monday evening, January 18th, the Rev James Jones, vicar of Llandinam, and for fifteen years Curate of Holyhead, was the reo:pient of thp following presentations :—1, Gpneral testimonial front the parishioners and friends (Church and Nonconfor¬ mist)), consisting of a tea and coffee service, tray and water jug, and a pair of silver candelebra, with name engraved; 2, St. Seiriol Sunday School testimonial, consisting of a number of theological volumes; 3T CE.T-S. members' testimonial, consisting of a silver rose bowl on an ebony stand, with presentation plate • and 4, scholai s of Rev. James Jones's St. Seiriol Sunday School Class testimonial, consisting of a silve" inkstand, with name engraved. The Chairman, Captain Binney in his introductory remarks, said that whatever Mr Jones undertook— and he undertook much—he did thoroughly, an<r emphasized especially his work in connection with th<- Sunday and Day Schools, the C-E-T.S., the Men's Guild and the Lifeboat Institution. Mr- Theophilus Roberts, Senior Churchwarden, meutioned how hard Mr- Jones had worked while th< living was vacant, and prophesied that he would bi¬ as mnch beloved by his new parishioners as he was by them. The Vicar (Canon Walter Thomas) in testifying tr the value of Mr. Jones as a friend, adviser and curat', remarked that during the time the Vicar of Llan¬ dinam was Curate of Holyhead, he had baptised 566. of whom 73 were adults, married 143 couples, anc buried 579 people. Speeches were also made by Mr- T. G. Hughss, Churchwarden, and otherp, and after the presentation had been acknowledged by Mr- James Jones, iv a modest and felicitous speech, marked by much feel¬ ing, the majoritv of those present escorted him to the Station to bid him Godspeed. LLANIDLOES. Through the kindness and energy of Mr. Swinburne, a se.ies of fortnightly Lantern Lectures has been inaugurated in connection with the Band of Hope. The proceeds going to defray the expenses, immediately rising from it, and any balance will be devoted to paying for coal and gas, dec, useu in connection with the Church Classes held in the National Schools. The idea merits the hearty support of every Church¬ man, and we hope it will meet with the success it deserve?. The first lecture of the series was given on Wednesday,
