RURL-DECANAL CHAPTER. A meeting of the Ruri-Decanal Chapter was held at Llanwnog Vicarage, on November 19th, when the following Clergy were present.:—Revs. Morgan Jones, R.D., Llandiuam, T. H. Hughes, Llangnrig, J Jones, Llanwnog and 0- Harding, Caersws,W. L. Richards, Penstrowed, J. Edwards, Carno, J. H. Rowlands, Trefeglwys, and W. Gower Jones, Llanidloes. The meeting was preceeded by a celebration of the Holy Communion in the Parish Church at 10-30 a.m. Prayers having been said by tha Rural Dean, the minutes of the previous meeting were read and con¬ firmed. The Rev. T- H Hughes Submitted a Yerbal Report of the Choral Festival Committee. The Rev. W. L. Richards, Rector of Penstrowed, then raised the question as to a joint Sunday School and Choral Festival, which suggestion, however, the Chapter did not see their way clear to adopt. W. GOWER JONES, Chapter Clerk. LLANIDLOES. We deeply regret to have to record the death of Mr Maui ice Lewis, son of one of our most faithful Church women, Mrs. Ann Bunford, Church street. He had been for many years in Western Australia, and at the time of his death was in the employ of the Great Boulder Proprietary Gold Mines Co. He was taken ill on August 30th. and died of acute pneumonia on September 2nd, in spite of every possible medical attention. All will sympathise with Mrs. Bunford in her sad bereavement, her son having been always most kind and generous to her We hear that the funeral was one of the largest ever seen at Great Boulder, and Mrs. Bunford has received many letters from private friends of her son testify¬ ing to his character and consistency as a Christian, as well as votes of condolence from the Masonic and and other brotherhoods, j Unavoidably held over from last month.] We have to thank Mrs- Paull for a very generous gift of an Altar Cloth and a set of Communion Linen. We do not look gift horses in the mouth, but we think we are right in saying that £5 would not buy them- The mention of Mrs. Paull's name reminds us that it did not appear as it ought to have done in our last issne, among those who sent offerings to the Harvest Festival. The gift was a particularly accept¬ able one—wine, and as we had several sick at the time an especially appropriate one too. We are always glad to have omissions and mistakes of this kind pointed out, as. we wish these coin wins to a faithful record, and more especially of gifts and subscriptions. For this reason—and not because Mrs Marpole would wish it to be mentioned—we note here that she was credited with giving 2s. to the Choir Trip : it should have been 2s. 6d. Vicarage Fund.
