If anyone has views as to which is the most suitable day of the week for such lectures, suggestions will be carefully considered. So we hope all new and old subscribers will have their contributions ready. There ought to he something from every Church family. Mrs. Thomas has afresh stock of Prayer and Hymn Books at the S.P.C.K. The children assemble once a week for the purpose of practising a Biblical cantata, and every month a service is held for the purpose of repro¬ ducing a portion of the cantata, which, when com¬ pletely learned, is given at. a Children's Festival, such as that arranged for Wednesday afternoon. The cantata was entitled " Samuel " and was interspersed with recitations. The chorus, numbering 200, waa ably conducted by Mr. R. M. Davies, and the perfor¬ mance, which was successful throughout, was the subject of much favourable comment.
