Will the correspondents from the various parishes note that the latest (not as many seem to think the earliest; date, on which contributions for this Magazine can be received is the last Saturday of the month proceeding the month of issue. Thus all contributions for the next (October) issue must be in by Saturday, September 29th at latest. If this rule is not observed, we cannot bring out the Magazine—as we would wish to—so as to be in the various parishes by the first Sunday in the montli SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. The next meeting will be held at Trefeglwys on Tuesday 18th inst., at 3-30 p m , when it is hoped an address will be given by Canon Davies, Pwllheli. Sunday School Superintendents, Teachers and Adult Scholars are cordially invited. Tea will be provided after the meeting. As the Harvest Festival will be held in the Parish Church on the same day, doubtless many will take advantage of the opportunity of hear¬ ing Canon Davies, who is deservedly reckoned one of the most eloquent preachers in (Vales, by staying for the evening service. LLANIDLOES. Under this heading we wish to begin in 1901 a column dealing with the history, antiquities and folk¬ lore of the district. For this purpose the Vicar will be much obliged if anyone who comes across allusions to Llanidloes in old books. Welsh or otherwise, or who has anything of general interest to communicate would write to him on the subject. A mepting in connection with the Children's Union of the Church of England Waife and Strays Society was held in the National School on Wednesday, August 8th. In the unavoidable absence of the Vioar, the chair was taken by the Rev.W. D. Roberts. Mies Tillard, the general secretary of the Children's Union, delivered a very interesting address on the work ot the Society, which was much appreciated by those present. The Secretary of the Society in the Deanery is Miss Lloyd-Yerney, Clochfaen, and the head of the Children's Union in Llanidloes is Mrs. Lea Jones, Maenol. Miss Louie Ingram is the local secretary. The annual trip of the Church Day and Sunday Schools took place tnis year on August 2(kh, when, in spite of most ominous forebodings the day before, we were favoured with the most glorious weather and were consequently accompanied by a large number of people from Llanidloes and the neighbourhood. The balance sheet will be given next month : meanwhile we append the list of subscribers, which on the whole is a very satisfactory one, embracing as it does so considerable a number of names.
