A Meeting of the Sunday School Association for the Deanery was held in Caersws Church on Friday, March 3rd, when all the Clergy of the Deanery were present, and Teachers from every Sunday School. The Rural Dean presided and opened the meeting with singing and prayer. After the minutes of the last meeting had been read and confirmed the Rev. E. 0. Jones Vicar of Llanidloes read a paper or rather delivered an address on Sunday School work and the spirit in which that work should be undertaken and carried on ; the outline of which we hope will appear in print as was suggested by one of the Teachers pres ent. He certainly raised the studies and position of a Sunday School Teacher to a higher level than he or she is generally supposed to occupy, and Sunday School work if carried out as suggested cannot fail to be productive of much good. Time did not permit of the address being commented upon at great length. After a few practical remarks by the Rural Dean, it was decided to hold the next meeting at Carno the same day as the Ruridecanal Meeting After a vote of thanks to the Rev. E 0. Jones for his very excell¬ ent address had been passed the meeting was closed with singing and prayer. Tea was provided for all m the Infant Schoolroom through the kindness of the Caersws friends, the Rev. R. P. Hughes, Curate-in- charge and Mrs. Hughes. CHORAL FESTIVAL. The Ruridecanal Choral Festival will be held in Llandinam Church, on Wednesday, June 7th. The Conductor hopes all the choirs are making progress with the music. He intends to visit all of them this month. W. D. R. LLANIDLOES. The Church-Wardens respectfully beg to remind the Parishioners that the Offertories and Collections on Easter Day, will again be given to the Vicar, and whilst sincerely thanking them for the hearty response to the request made last year, appeal to them for a liberal Contribution this Easter. We put in the saving clause because in future we hope to see more of the parents present. Mr. Lloyd Williams gave an admirable address which has been so well reported in the Count// Times that we noed not attempt to summarize it. We were ghid to hear the warm way in which he spoke of Mr. R M. Davies, whose services lie had once tried to secure for Oswestry, and of Mr. Elias Owen, an old pupil, whom he described as a man of European reputation in his line. The children whose behaviour was quite excellent, in spite of the somewhat surprising fact that all the assistant teachers were seated among the general audience and gave no assistance to the head- teachers, rendered several songs very prettily. We give the names of the prize winners. The very greatest praise is due to those who have been so regular in attendances. Prizes for Scripture Knowledge were given to the following—Infant School :—Henry Morris, Fred Davies, John Henry Gough, Ernest Morgan, Mabel Morris, Maggie Davies, Edith Hopper, Beatrice Lewis, Annie M.
