The Confirmation which had so long and eagerly been looked forward to at last took place on Sunday, March 20fch. It will be remembered that it was originally fixed for last May, but had to be post-poned owing to the Bishop being taken ill a few weeks before the date arranged. The very day on which the Magazine appeared in February, announcing that the Bishop had provisionally fixed upon March 20th for his visit, his Lordship was again struck down, and this time with a far more serious illness, and it seemed as if once more the fixture would have to be post-poned. However, our Bishop had already arranged with the Bishop (Suffragan) of Swansea to help him in his confirmation tour, and so we were saved from any further disappointment. The day was a beautiful one, and the services as bright, as hearty and as well rendered as we have ever heard them even in Llanidloes. Especially striking was the Recessional in the morning, and it was repeated in the evening. The Confirmation Service was taken by itself in the afternoon when forty six candidates were presented, including six from Llangurig, and five from Carno. Those from this parish were as follows:—David Bunford, Charles Brown, Hugh Marsh Davies, Edmund Vincent Da vies, George Herbert Davies, Richard Offley Evans, Joseph Hampton, Thomas Harry Hine, Bennett Jehu, Edwin Jones, Alfr. Jones, Jno. Jones, David LI. Kinseyjunr., Rufus Wallace Alexander Marpole, John Morgan, George Freeman Morris, Albert Ultimus Owen, Thos.
