Dear Sir, I have at present only the 'very faintest idea of Church Work in the Deanery of Arwystli, and much less of that in the Diocese at large. As a Sunday School Teacher in the Parish of Llan¬ idloes, I see much to be thankful for and also some things that may possibly be amended and improved. Probably this is the case in every Church Sunday School in the Deanery. Having had some experience in the working of a Sunday School Association in another Deanery and Diocese, and having seen its usefulness and good results, I respectfully suggest to our Rural Dean and the other Clergy of the Deanery the desirability of establishing one here. I hope my -suggestion may not be thought presump¬ tuous, but as a lay member of the Church, I feel it a duty to do what I can in that part of the vineyard where past experience may be of some service. I am, Dear Sir, . Yours sincerely, JOHN DA VIES,- L, So P. Bank, Llanidloes, All Saints Day, 1897. We are glad to give space and prominence to the above letter from one who has had much experience in Sunday School work. Curiously enough the same sub¬ ject is mooted this month in the Colofn Trefeglwys and as is there pointed out we printed a letter on the question making the same suggestion two years ago. There, can be little doubt that Clergy and Teacbefs would welcome a forward move of this kipd and we respectfully suggest that the,,Rural Dean should call, a meeting to take the sense of the Deanery.
