The lash Cler cal Meeting of the Arwystli and Cyfeiliog Rural Deaneries was held at the Vicarage, Llanwnog, on Thursday, March 11th. Holy Communion was celebrated at 11-30 a.m., the Rev. Morgan Jones, R.D., being the Celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Wm. Richards, R.D., of Cyfeiliog. Prayers having been said at the Vicarage by the Rural Dean of Arwystli, the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letters of apology for absence had been received from the Revs. E. O. Jones, E. Edwards, J. T. Evans, R. Richards, J. Williams, and W. R Williams. The Rector of Gemma s kindly invited the Clergy to meet at his house in June next. The Clergy present were : —The Revs. Morgan Jones, R.D., Wm. Richards. R.D., E. Edwardes, D. A Jones, W. L. Richards, D. Parry, W. D. Roberts, O. K. Williams, T. H. Hughes, and T. E. Jones, Hon. Sec. The two first subjects on the Agenda had, owing to the short time at our disposal, to give way in order to finally consider and adopt the " Rules." After a protracted discussion all the " Rules " with the excep¬ tion of the 9fch were adopted ; the 9th to be considered at the next meeting. It was proposed by the Rev. W. L. Richards, seconded by the Hon. Sec. and unanimously passed that a copy of the " Rules " be sent to each member of the Clerical Meeting. T. E. JONES, Hon. Sec. LLANIDLOES. The account of the opening of the New Infant School given in the last month's issue would not be complete without an account of the Childrens' Tea find Entertainment, which took place on Tuesday, March 2nd. It had been intended to give the tea the day after the opening, but it was postponed on account of the funeral of the late Mrs. Marshall. The scholars °f all Age* ranging from infants of three and under to «ie senior pupils of the first class assembled, as may be expected in good numbers, and were marshalled into their places at the tables by Mr. Davies, the Headmaster, and Mr. Owen, his assistant, and after singing a pretty grace which had been learned for the occasion, set to with a will to demolish the dainty fare which had been provided for them. Mr. J. H. Williams and Mr. Jno. Davies, Harvey House, were the—-well not exactly caterers—but governors of: the feast—and they deserve all thanks for the excel¬ lence of their arrangements, and the quality of the provisions. Our best thanks are also due to the following ladies who presided and assisted at the tables :—Miss Maysmor, Miss Lillie Davies, Misses Cissy and Edith Kinsey, Miss Manuel, Mrs. J.
