I regret that owing to my absence from home the last issue of the Magazine was printed without the proof having been corrected, and some serious omissions and mistakes were made, especially in the Caersws column. But the fault lies with me alone.—Gen. Sec. LLANIDLOES. Harvest Festival Services were held on October 2nd aud 3rd, when the Rev. T. Edwards, rector of Llanllyfni, better known under his nom-de-plume of Gwynedd, preached in Welsh on Tuesday evening and Wednesday doming, and the Rev.W. Evans, curate of St. Michael's Church, Aberystwith, delivered a sermon which will long live in the memory of those who heard it on Wednesday evening. The attendance at early celebra¬ tion was very disappointing, and the congregations on Tuesday evening (Welsh) and Wednesday morning were ^Iso small. The Church was, if anything, more beauti¬ fully decorated than usual, but the number of offerings somewhat smaller than usual. The decorators were as follows:—Altar, Mrs. Jones, Vicarage; font, Miss j^arshall, and Mrs. Collins, Knighton; east window, ^iss Agnes Kerr; west window, Messrs. E. D. Davies, John Reese, Fred Kerr, and Harry Webb ; two south windows, the Misses Kinsey, China Street; two north Windows, Miss Maysmore and Miss Kinsey, Van Vaults; two north windows, the Misses Williams, Aberynant; pulpit and window, Miss Ikin, Vaynor *ark; lectern, Miss Webb, and Miss Gertrude Davies, White House ; altar rails, Misses Louie and Lena Ikin ; choir stalls, the Misses Jermnn, Severn Grove. The first meeting of this Society for Young Men took place on Monday, October 22, when there was a very good attendance, and many new members were pro¬ posed and introduced. The committee met the next night and drew up a very attractive programme for the session, and there is every prospect of a very successful year. We should like to see more older men joining; we ought to claim the title of young until we are fifty, at any rate. And even after that, years do not matter if our hearts are young. One great feature of the season will be the joint meetings with the Bethel Street Society, which ought to do us a great deal of good. The arrangements are not finally complete. CHURCH CHORAL SOCIETY. It is hoped the first meeting will take place on the first Tuesday in November. We shall be glad to welcome new members. The registers are held over till next week. LLANDINAM.
