Hrw^stli H)eanen> flfoaga3tne. Vol. 2. SEPTEMBER, 1894. No. 21. LLANIDLOES. The annual trip of the Sunday and National Schools took place on Wednesday, August 22nd. Free tickets Were givez: as usual to the members of the Sunday and National Day Schools, and the majority of them, together with many of their friends and relations, availed themselves of the opportunity of enjoying the sea breezes of Aberystwyth, a few going by preference to Barmouth. We were exceedingly fortunate in the weather, the day being beautifully fine in the middle of a wet week. Everybody seemed to be enjoying them¬ selves to the utmost, finding plenty of means of amuse¬ ment in the unfailing attractions of bicycles, tricycles, donkey rides, boating, &c, &c. Unfortunately the " niggers " were not so accessible as usual, they being engaged for the day in the Flower Show. We returned home in good time, reaching Llanidloes about, ten o'clock, tired it is true, but reinvigorated it is to be hoped by the ozone of the sea air. We append a list of the subscribers, to whom the best thanks of those Who profited by their generosity are due. Miss H. F. Ikin and Miss A. Kerr deserve our warmest and unfeigned gratitude for the energetic and successful efforts they made in collecting the subscriptions. Col¬ lecting is a thankless, and often a disagreeable occupa¬ tion, and we cannot appreciate too highly the courage of the ladies who do this work for the Sunday School trip. They are to be congratulated on their success, for in spite of the loss of several good subscribers and the halving of subscriptions in several cases they brought the total very nearly up to that of previous years.
