NOTES. EISTEDDFOD AT WELSHPOOL IN 1824.- At thi3 Eisteddfod the following two verses were sung as part of the National Anthem, " God Save the King":— Solo, Mr. Parry, and Chorus, written by W. 0. Pughe, D.G.L. Mai haul o dirion des Tros Brydain taena les Hir oes ein lor ; Ein breintiau, er ein mael, Areilied ef yn hael, A delo ini gael Oes hir i Sior ! Solo, Miss Stephens, and Chorus. Long may Old Cambria share His love and royal care ! God bless the King. May he attune the lyre, And every bard inspire, To sing with soul of fire, God save the King. Z. A LLANSILIN EPITAPH.—The following epitaph is to be found in Llansilin Church :— Under the Communion Table of this Church lyeth the Body of David Maurice Esqr of Penybont, otherwise call'd Glancynlleth ; The Seat or Share of the third Branch of the Ancient House of Lloran Ucha ; Upon a division of that Estate amongst eight Sons about the year 1560. Being the Sixth division of Lloran ucha Estate amongst Sons from the year 1200 to the year 1560. He married Elizabeth, second daughter of Robert Villiers Ld. Vise: Purbeck and Baron of Stoke in the County of Bucks, By whom He had Issue, Two Sons, Edward and David, and Three Daughters, Elizabeth, Frances and Elinor. David and Elizabeth died young. Edward, Frances, and Elinor survived him. He died the 1st of Novbr. 1719. Aged 63. A Person deservedly respected for his Moral aswell as social Virtues Affability and boundless Hospitality. By his Father's fidelyes Also the Body of the above named Edward, who became owner of Lloran Ucha as well by Linear Descent as by Bequest. A Person also whose extensive humanity and sweet¬ ness of Temper, justly gained him a general Esteem. A dutyful Son, a tender Husband, an affectionate Brother, a kind Relation, and sincere Friend. He dy'dmuch lamented on the 16th of June, 1732. Aged 52. In memory of whom as also of her Sd. Husband, the above named Elizabeth erected this monument, by whom she designs to be laid. D.
