(Feb. 9, 1876.) PARISH OF KERRY—Concluded. ELIZABETH BDWABDS'S CHABITT. According to an entry in an old parish book, Mrs Eliza¬ beth Edwards gave 10s a year to the poor. This amount the owners of Brynllywarch have beeD in the habit of pay¬ ing on account of this charity. HEBBERT'S CHABITT. Richard Herbert, Esq., by will, in 1696, charged a tene¬ ment, wherein John Humphreys then lived, with 40s per annum, for buying yearly so much coarse frieze as would make twelve coats for such poor men and women of the pariah of Kerry as should most want them, to be given away every Christmas. Note.—This tenement conld not be identified at the time of the Commissioners' inquiry, but it was stated the sum of £2 was annually expended by the agents of the then Miss Herbert, the then owner of Mr Herbert's property, in cloth¬ ing the poor. PAYNE'S CHABITT. , Richard Payne, heretofore vicar ef this parish in 1671» gave £10, the interest thereof to be distributed amongst the poor.
