Winners: Group Two 1st: Norton Cross Jnr., Skenfrith £ 50. 2nd: Llanofer Jnr, £ 40. 3rd: Llanfair Cilgedin £ 30. CLASS I Harold Road-a project involving every child in the school, and every aspect of the curriculum. A large exhibition was opened to the public at the school. The children also produced a large quilt depicting various aspects of the town's past and present. St. Michael's-project included the construction of computer controlled working models, and the staging of an ambitious musical play tracing the history of the town. Craft projects looked especially at the role of the canals in local history. Llwynu-a project involving every class-taken under three headings- Abergavenny Castle, St. Mary's Church and Great Trerhyw Farm. Llantilio Pertholau-a project encompassing work from the reception class to top juniors-clothing and farming were well covered-spinning, weaving and style of clothes. The infants concentrated on Abergavenny Fair and produced craftwork of a remarkable standard.
