1 Cardiganshire was originally divided into ten commotes of which the three northernmost were Geneu'r Glyn, extending from the river Dovey to the Clarach, Perfedd, from the Clarach to the Rheidol, and Creuddyn, from the Rheidol to the Ystwyth. 2 cf.
