Yt is an Impropriation belonging to the Abbey of St Dogmells. The Rectorie is the kinges & valued with the Rectorie of llantood to be worth vi** xiiis imd by yeare. The Cure is dischardged by the vicarr of llantood as a member beloninge to yt & is valued in the kinges bookes of first fruites under the name of vicarr de llantood xlvis viiid. It was in auncient tyme dedicated to St Nicholas. Touching matters of the laytie yt is a manor & Knight ffee holden of the lordshippe of Kemes and was in auncient tyme the Inheritance of the Mortymers and after the Roches & latelie the lordes of Towyn were owners thereof & now John bowen vaughan of Argoed. Yt is one of the xxtie knight fees of Kemes. The Cure is dischardged by a vicar being of the kings guift & is valued at xls but because that for many yeres past the Cure of Bayvill a litle parishe adioyning hath ben cast upon that vicar, also the fruites being smale & the both Cures troblesome the same is comitted by sequestracion by the ordynarie to some maister adioyning for that it is not worthe the travelling to London for a presentacion. This Inconvenience of Impropriations not onlie in this parishe but in many other parishes of this sheere to the starving of many soules where the farmers take the fruites and the people left to seeke the lorde as they may or list. They held in old tyme St David for their holie patronn. Manor As concerninge the layetie yt is also a manor priviledged wt h a leete and Court baron, yt is also one of the xx knightes fees of Kemes and the inheritaunce of George Owen esquior. Trepriske Trepriske the mansion howse of Mr John Bradshawe & by him newlye built. Yt was in auncient tyme the Inheritaunce of Phillip Thomas ap david whose sonne Gruffith phillip had yssue Owen ap gruffith who sold it & other his landes to John Bradshawe of St Dogmells esquior who gave yt to this John Bradshawe as a younger sonns portion he beareth the Bradshawes Coate before spoken of in St Dogmells with the difference of a brother.
