Stephen Green Coed-y-Cwmdda, Wenvoe An excavation is in progress at Coed-y-Cwmdda (ST 1329 7398), a hill-slope enclosure threatened by quarrying. The site consists of a roughly quadrangular area of about 6000 sq. metres, enclosed by a single bank and ditch. The defences and part of the interior are being examined, and finds so far have included Iron Age and Roman occupation debris, some of which is similar to material excavated at the nearby hill-fort of Dinas Powys.
