Y Gymraes : cylchgrawn i ferched Cymru

A monthly Welsh language women's periodical established with the support of Augusta Hall, Lady Llanover (1802-1896). The periodical's main contents were biographies of prominent women both from the contemporary world and from the bible, articles on keeping a home and family and on current affairs, alongside poetry and reviews. The periodical was edited by the minister and journalist, Evan Jones (Ieuan Gwynedd, 1820-1852). Associated titles: Y Tywysydd a'r Gymraes (1852).
